12-HSA is a Castor Oil Derivative. During the first quarter of 2015, castor seed prices have fallen in India.

The pricing of castor seed is dependent on:
•    World-wide demand for castor derivatives, and,
•    The efficacy of crop growth as influenced by the onset and duration of the Indian monsoon season
•    The percentage of land farmers devote to this crop based on the previous years experience
For this current year, castor crop output is estimated to be up to 1.1 million tonnes.
